Nigerian cooking in Downtown LA
Mayowa is a Nigerian kitchen in Downtown Los Angeles, and we're glad you found us. We introduced ourselves to the neighbors in spring 2025 as a new Nigerian spot.
The jollof
Start with the jollof rice, plantains and chicken. Add the sautéed peppers and onions on the side, and a zobo to go with it.
Egusi and pounded yam
If you want something that tastes like home, order the egusi with pounded yam. Efo riro and goat meat are on the table too.
Worth the drive
Some of you have come up from San Diego for a plate, and that means a lot to us. We're in Downtown Los Angeles, so if you're close, come on by.
